T1 leads esports viewership worldwide after a strong competitive month

T1 finished May 2026 as the most-watched esports organization globally, with 16.93 million Hours Watched, becoming the only team to exceed 15 million that month. The reigning League of Legends world champions played 12 matches across two events, driving strong audience engagement and securing their place among esports’ most popular teams.

The month began with a setback as T1 suffered a 2-1 defeat to Hanwha Life Esports in the LCK 2026 Season. However, the Korean powerhouse quickly bounced back, putting together an impressive 11-match unbeaten streak. The run started with a victory over BRION in the Esports World Cup 2026 Korea Qualifier and included important wins against fellow contenders Gen.G and KT Rolster. T1 also secured a place at the upcoming Esports World Cup, while Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan delivered several standout performances throughout the month.

T1’s consistency translated into impressive viewership numbers, averaging nearly 600,000 viewers per match. The team currently holds a 14-4 record in the LCK 2026 Season, level with Gen.G and behind only Hanwha Life Esports as it continues its push toward international competition.
